Shows That Make Your Heart Sing!

Darcy Dunn

Darcy Dunn is a principal singer for the Magic Circle Opera (MCORE), under Ray Evans Harrell, and was praised in the New York Times as a “highlight” of MCORE’s American Masters Biennial festival; appearing first as a soloist in the opening concert, and then closing the festival with a recital of songs by American composer Ned Rorem.  She has made a number of recordings on the Newport Classics label (“alluring both vocally and dramatically” wrote the Times), sung Tchaikovsky at Town Hall, Mahler with the New York Symphony Ensemble, Bizet at Lincoln Center, and most recently was a featured artist at the New York City benefit for “Habitat for Humanity". She has performed extensively as a cabaret artist, most notably in musical revues with her husband Mark Singer and pianist Julia Mendelsohn.  Since 2004 she has been featured annually in the Catskill Mountain Foundation’s Mountaintop Celebration of Song.
