![]() | Julia Mendelsohn Julia Mendelsohn is an accomplished soloist and accompanist who performs regularly throughout New York City and its environs. She is also the Musical and Stage Director for the Catskill Mountain Foundation’s Mountaintop Celebration of Song. As a pianist, Ms. Mendelsohn brings her distinctive style (and unique personality) to all types of music - from classical French at the Metropolitan Museum (where she soloed for over 15 years) to cabaret at various Second Avenue "joints". Her flawless technique and generously shared witticisms are much in demand on the Bar and Bat Mitzvah circuit, where "that gal from Venus" has brightened many a "simchah" and garnered rave reviews ("a style as smooth as chopped herring, vivacious like seltzer", "Her Sunrise, Sunset is to weep from", "I laughed 'till I stopped"). Perhaps her only shortcoming is her sincere hatred of performers' bios. |
