Shows That Make Your Heart Sing!

Mark Singer

As lead baritone for New York’s Magic Circle Opera Repertory Ensemble, Mark Singer has sung the music of Bernstein, Bizet, Holst, Vaughan-Williams, Mozart and Sondheim, among many others, and his performance in Carmen, was hailed by the New York Times as an “expert, playboy Escamillo“. Mark has also recorded several operatic roles on the Newport Classics label. A former partner in the investment firm of Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., he left the financial world in 2001 to pursue his love of music full-time with his wife Darcy Dunn and musical director Julia Mendelsohn in a series of musical revues. He is the creator of the Catskill Mountain Foundation’s annual Mountaintop Celebration of Song, where his productions include Headliners and One-Liners, Weill’d About You, Take Me Back to the Sixties, They’re Playing Our Song, and most recently Ain’t We Got Fun!.
